Youth Mission

The students of SFUMC take missions seriously. Going out and being the hands and feet of Jesus is part of being a Christian. We do a variety of local and national missions throughout the year.

Manna Meals

Manna Meals is a program that serves a hot meal every Friday to those in need. When the youth are not in school, we enjoy being a part of this ministry.

30 Hour Famine

Every day an estimated 7,000 children younger then 5 will die from causes related to hunger. Some starve. Some get sick and waste away. Either way, this is not okay. So we are doing something about it. We will go 30 hours without food to raise money so that others can eat. This is an annual event.

Summer Mission Trip

Our youth have been to Hico, Texas and San Antonio Texas. It is a long drive to get there, but well worth it.  We have done all kinds of work, from scrapping and painting, to roofing and carpeting, to building handrails and wall panels. We work hard, but play hard too! It was fun to make new friends and share new experiences together. The families that we did work for were also wonderful.  I think they touched our lives as much as we touched theirs.

Our youth will participate in Youth Force this summer, a program of the Oklahoma United Methodist Church.  We will be going to Guymon Oklahoma the week of June 21-26 to work on summer mission projects in that community.
