Youth Mission

The students of SFUMC take missions seriously. Going out and being the hands and feet of Jesus is part of being a Christian. We do a variety of local and national missions throughout the year.

Manna Meals

Manna Meals is a program at other UM churches that serves a hot meal every Friday to those in need. When the youth are not in school, we enjoy being a part of this ministry.

30 Hour Famine

Every day an estimated 7,000 children younger then 5 will die from causes related to hunger. Some starve. Some get sick and waste away. Either way, this is not okay. So we are doing something about it. We will go 30 hours without food to raise money so that others can eat. This is an annual event.

Summer Mission Trip  2018

In 2018, the youth traveled to Atlanta Georgia to participate in M25 Mission Camp.  The students partnered with established ministries in Atlanta GA, as they helped provide for the city's homeless population, worked in shelters and food banks, and learned about poverty in the US. Skiatook youth joined forces with the youth group of Sapulpa UMC for this different kind of mission trip.

In July 2019, the youth will travel to West Virginia and work through YouthWorks.
